Jeremy Borum - BioResumeAs a composer and performer I love the collaborative process. I have always played the role of a supporting cast member, rarely in the spotlight, and I love to use my skills to draw attention to the focal point. Whether that focal point is the plot of a movie or the front man in a band I enjoy the way in which artistic visions meet and sometimes collide on the way towards art. Some of my recent work is Robert Iscove's `Love N' Dancing' (orchestrator) and Rebecca Lorenne's documentary `Take A Bow'. My music is also featured in Gwyn O'Donnell's feature `The Funk Parlor', and I have scored many short films. I was part of the music team for Ridley Scott's film `American Gangster' where I did music editing and recording session prep for composer Marc Streitenfeld. I was an assistant music editor for the TV shows `Everybody Hates Chris' and `CSI New York' with Josh Winget in the 2006-7 season. I have degrees or certificates in music from the Berklee College of Music, the Australian National University, and UC Davis. My recording studio is in Torrance, CA, where I write and produce most of my film scores. It can accommodate mid size recording sessions and has a 1906 grand piano, a 1943 Hammond B3 organ, and HD gear. I support other composers and music teams as an orchestrator and arranger, and I have been an active sound engineer since 1996. I run a music engraving and music copyist business as well and have produced manuscripts for many major music publishers and performing groups. If you need a film composer, orchestrator, arranger, or music copyist, please contact me. I'm easy to work with and I love what I do! In my spare time (what spare time?) I tour with the gospel reggae band Christafari playing keyboards. If you want to see me in concert check the website for show dates.
