Mandrill with Lowrider Band August 4 2012, Funk-A-Fair

Mandrill in concert tonight

Mandrill has thrilled audiences the world over for more than three decades with their hard-hitting mix of Funk, Rock, Latin, R&B and Jazz Fusion. The renowned Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles, playing my arrangements and conducted by Charles Dickerson, will guest star with Mandrill on a few songs. From Madison Square Garden to the Montreux Jazz Festival, they have shared the stage with legends such as Miles Davis, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Tito Puente, Earth Wind & Fire, The Eagles, James Brown, Deep Purple and David Bowie.

Co-headlining is Southern California’s own dynamic Lowrider Band led by multi-platinum singer/songwriters Howard Scott, Harold Brown, Lee Oskar and B.B. Dickerson, a prolific team that has dished up many of radio’s greatest tunes: “The Cisco Kid,” “Why Can’t We Be Friends,” “Spill the Wine,” “Slipping into Darkness” and “The World is a Ghetto,” just to name a few mega-hits from the band’s exhaustive discography.

My sheet music publishing company ZMX Music is a sponsor of the show.
