Mandrill in concert tonight

Mandrill has thrilled audiences the world over for more than three decades with their hard-hitting mix of Funk, Rock, Latin, R&B and Jazz Fusion. The renowned Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles, playing my arrangements and conducted by Charles Dickerson, will guest star with Mandrill on a few songs. From Madison Square Garden to the Montreux Jazz Festival, they have shared the stage with legends such as Miles Davis, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Tito Puente, Earth Wind & Fire, The Eagles, James Brown, Deep Purple and David Bowie.

Co-headlining is Southern California’s own dynamic Lowrider Band led by multi-platinum singer/songwriters Howard Scott, Harold Brown, Lee Oskar and B.B. Dickerson, a prolific team that has dished up many of radio’s greatest tunes: “The Cisco Kid,” “Why Can’t We Be Friends,” “Spill the Wine,” “Slipping into Darkness” and “The World is a Ghetto,” just to name a few mega-hits from the band’s exhaustive discography.

My sheet music publishing company ZMX Music is a sponsor of the show.

Dream Gallery on Amazon’s Hot New Releases

The orchestral album I orchestrated and produced with composer Mark Abel, Dream Gallery, has been in the top 20 on Amazon’s Hot New Releases list for more than a month now, and today we made it up to #2. I’m flattered, proud, and a little surprised all at the same time.

ZMX Music signs two new artists

I’m happy to announce that ZMX Music has signed two new artists, The Apples In Stereo and Saves The Day. Like all other sheet music published by ZMX, I will be overseeing the production process and working with the artists to ensure 100% artist approval.

Mass for Joan of Arc

I am beginning work on a 100 page manuscript for New York composer Francis Wapen. He has written a Catholic mass for Saint Joan of Arc and I am doing the sheet music preparation. Mr. Wapen is a prolific composer, and I have done his music engraving for 9 or 10 big projects now.
